I find that many people who want cosmetic dentistry avoid getting it due to a fear of going to the dentist. Conscious Sedation, which I provide, is a way patients can get the smile they want or the dentistry they need while not having to deal with the anxiety or fear. Patients can get treated and may not even remember coming to the office that day.

I was one of the dentists for WHOI Central Illinois Extreme Makeover. I believe in personalizing my cosmetic dentistry so that each of the smiles I create fits that person.

I am an active member of the Pekin Community. I enjoy coaching Union Mission Baseball as well as being a sponsor. I also enjoy spending some of my free-time coaching floor hockey for the Pekin Boys and Girls Club.

Aside from the charities and church functions I've supported, I am proud to have worked to raise money for the United Way and to be part of the ISDS/PDDS Give Kids a Smile Day, volunteering and helping the children in Tazewell County achieve oral health. It is rewarding to be able to give to those in need. For that, I am truly grateful.

Dr. Conroy is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry. He also earned a Master of Science from the University of Illinois. After dental school he served in the United States Navy for four years as a dental officer. After his Navy experience he practiced general dentistry in the Chicago area.

Since joining Dr. Dickey here in Pekin, IL he joined the Tazwell Dental Study Club and the Peoria District Dental Society. He has been involved in the ISDS/PDDS "Give Kids A Smile Day." He has been an active member in the community and looks forward to many more years of involvement.

As a general dentist Dr. Conroy performs exams, fillings, root canals and extractions. In addition to these procedures he offers cosmetic dental procedures such as crowns, bridges, whitening, veneers and implants. Also Dr. Conroy has Invisalign Certification. This treatment allows certain patients the ability to straighten their teeth using clear plastic aligners instead of the traditional braces.

Dr. Conroy's goal as a dentist has always been to help every patient improve his or her health and appearance. He diagnoses and treats based on the highest ideals of dentistry, the way he would treat his own family.
