Dr. Stephen Dickey

Dr. Stephen E. Dickey is a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Dentistry and has been a practicing dentist for 30 years. He acquired Total Dental Care in Pekin in 2003 with a mission of serving the residents of Pekin, as well as the greater Peoria and Bloomington-Normal areas. With a focus on sedation dentistry, Dr. Dickey is dedicated to helping patients experience less pain and anxiety during dental treatment. His passion for cosmetic dentistry allows patients to achieve their dream smiles. He was selected to compete in the WHOI Central Illinois Extreme Dental Makeover, showcasing his cosmetic dentistry skills. Trainings & Certifications
Dr. Dickey believes that dental care should always be comfortable. He holds a Permit A in oral and IV conscious sedation. Prioritizing patient safety, Dr. Dickey is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and CPR. He is also an active member of these professional organizations:

Life Outside of Work
When not in the office, Dr. Dickey is a man of faith, participates in various charities, and enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He has volunteered his time through the IL State Dental Society donated dental service program and helped children in Tazewell County achieve ideal oral health through the ISDS/PDDS Give Kids a Smile Day. He serves on the County Board of Health and is passionate about providing dental care through the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Dickey has also participated in a mission trip to Guatemala to provide dental care to those in need.
